On tour in advance of the release of their third studio record, Philadelphia's Beach Slang brought their brash brand of pop-punk to the Taphouse last night. Turnout was quite good for a Monday night.
From out of Richmond, Padfoot showcased the strength of last January's sublime "The Company We Keep." I like this band a lot, they're quirky and just plain fun. Virginia Beach Indie rockers, Starcoast, opened up proceedings but sadly I was running behind and only caught the last song. I have no doubt that their full set was as excellent as the last number, as they're a consummate group that never fails to deliver the goods.
