It was a strange mixture of the familiar and insane Saturday night, as alternate dimensional doppelgangers replaced some of our favorite local musicians.
Black Sabbath, The Strokes, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, System of a Down, and Pavement performed strangely familiar tunes that had been twisted and warped through the extraordinary journey to LAVA Present's stage across time, space, and reality. The lights were brought up midway through the evening to reveal that most of the audience had been supplanted by monsters, celebrities, and in at least one instance, the Gordon Fisherman. A good time was had by all, and at the end of the evening all interstellar entities and aliens were disbanded. All local musicans were returned unharmed.
Or were they?
