In the midst of a major reorganization, TBA Productions resurrected it's schedule last night with a trio of out of state acts. I hear that July's weekends are all but completely booked, and I'm looking forward to hearing what bands they're bringing in for the end of Summer.
It was a full audience who mostly came out in support of TV Girl -- an Pop sensation with a cutting sense of humor that targets themselves as often as they take aim at pop culture with a huge Spotify following. I hear pieces of Beck's Odeley in here alongside chunks of Animal Collective. Foxes in Fiction laid down a soulful course of lushly dense, experimental pop. And Infinity Crush overcame a bit of technical difficulty to treat us to stripped down, sweetly intense folk-pop. Guest DJ, Boisey, provided a competent series of sets throughout the pauses.
A good time was had by all, and then we went home.
